Chamunda Watch & Music Centre

We are over in Dadar East, specifically at 1 Taluk Mulshi. It is an interesting mix here at Chamunda Watch & Music Centre. Most places just do one thing, but we have always done watches and music together. It started because we liked both. You’ll find rows of watches next to shelves of music. These days it’s more about repairs and maybe some old recordings, but we keep both parts of the business going. Dadar is a place that never really sleeps, and being on the East side, we get a lot of people passing through. The shop has a certain smell—a mix of old paper, oil, and maybe a bit of incense we light in the morning. We have a lot of regular customers who come in to see if we have anything new or just to get a watch strap changed. It’s not a polished place. The floor tiles are a bit worn and the shelves are crowded. We like it that way because it feels like home. Being at 1 Taluk Mulshi puts us right in the heart of things. We hear the buses and the shouting of the vendors all day. It’s loud, but when you are working on a tiny watch movement, you sort of tune it all out. We are just a local Dadar shop doing what we know. Music and watches might seem like an odd pair, but it works for us. We have some old speakers that play radio tunes while we work. Dadar East is a good neighborhood for a shop like ours.
