Blessing 4 Needy Bahuuddheshiya Foundation

Our office is over in Nerul East, Navi Mumbai. We are on the second floor of Surya-Villa, which is plot number 12 in Sector 21. It’s a typical Navi Mumbai apartment building, nothing too special to look at from the outside. The Blessing 4 Needy Bahuuddheshiya Foundation is really just a group of us who wanted to do something useful with our spare time. "Bahuuddheshiya" is a long word, but it just means we do a lot of different things. We don't stick to just one project. Some weeks we are focusing on getting clothes for families, and other weeks we might be helping an elderly neighbor get to their doctor's appointment. It’s very much a local effort. We know the people in this part of Nerul, and they know us. The stairs to the second floor can be a bit steep if you're carrying boxes, but we manage. We aren't fancy and we don't have a big budget. Most of what we do comes from just asking around and seeing who can spare a little bit of time or a few items. It’s a bit unorganized sometimes, and our desk is usually covered in notebooks and half-empty water bottles, but we get the work done. We’re just trying to be good neighbors and help out where there’s a gap. It’s practical work for practical people, and that suits us just fine.
