Biblical Literacy Initiative Foundation

If you’re ever in Chembur, you might pass by our office. The Biblical Literacy Initiative Foundation is based in Tilak Nagar. We are in Building Number 56, specifically in unit A/604 of Vardan CHS Ltd. We’re right across from the Saraswat Bank, which is the easiest way to tell people where we are. The building is one of those typical cooperative housing societies you see all over Mumbai. It’s a pretty busy area with families and shops everywhere. Our office is up on the 6th floor, so it’s a bit quieter than being down on the street level. We have a modest setup here. It’s mostly just shelves of books and a few computers where we do our research and planning. It’s not a fancy corporate space at all. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and talk about the day’s work. Most of us have been involved with the initiative for quite a while now. We like being in Chembur because it feels like a real community. It’s not like those shiny new business districts. People know each other here. We spend our days mostly reading, writing, and coordinating with others. We don't have a big budget for decorating, so the office is just functional. It’s a comfortable place for us to get our work done without any major distractions.
