Bhavya Art Gallery

Bhavya Art Gallery is at S-2 in the Beacom Apartment on Azad Road. We are in Vile Parle East, which is a fairly busy residential neighborhood in Mumbai. Being inside an apartment building makes the gallery feel a bit different from a typical shop on the main road. It’s a quieter space where we keep our collection of work. We spend a lot of time just arranging the frames and making sure the lighting is okay for people to see the colors. It’s not a huge place, so we have to be careful with how we use the walls and the floor space. Outside on Azad Road, the traffic is constant, and you can hear the trains from the station if you listen closely through the window. But inside, we try to keep things calm and slow. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who look after the place and keep it clean. We talk to people who come in, mostly locals from the building or those who have a genuine interest in what we show. We don't use any fancy sales talk or marketing pitches. If someone likes a piece of art, they like it. We have a small desk in the corner where we do the accounts and handle the phone calls. Sometimes we just sit and look at the paintings ourselves when it’s quiet in the afternoon. It’s a simple business run by people who just like being around art.
