Bhakar Foundation

Our base is in Goregaon West, specifically in Bhagat Singh Nagar No-2, right off the Link Road. It’s a lively area of Mumbai, and there’s always a lot of noise and movement outside the windows. Bhakar Foundation is just a small team of us working out of a modest space here. Having big corporate backing or fancy office furniture isn't part of our setup. Most of what is here is just what we needed to get started. Days are spent trying to help out with local issues. It’s not always glamorous work, honestly. Sometimes it’s just filling out forms or talking to people about their problems. Big words or complicated meetings don't happen here. We just sit down and talk about what needs to happen next. The Link Road can be a bit of a mess with traffic, but it makes the office easy to get to. Anyone can come in and have a chat if they need to. Being the biggest foundation around doesn't interest us. We just want to be helpful to the people nearby. Some days are good and some are tough, but the team keeps showing up. It’s just us, really—no hidden agendas or polished PR teams. We are part of this neighborhood and want to see it do well. That's about it for our story. We just keep our heads down and get on with things.
