Being Loved Foundation

Our place is at 1, Vaity House, right on L.M. Road in Dahisar West. It’s a very specific part of the neighborhood, quite near Kanderpatalaav and Kanderpada. If you are familiar with the lake area, you will know exactly where we are located. Vaity House is one of those older structures that has been around for a while. It has a certain character that you don't find in the new high-rises popping up everywhere in Mumbai City. Working out of here for the Being Loved Foundation feels different than being in a sterile office block. We deal with a lot of people coming in and out, and the ground floor location makes it easy for everyone to just walk in. The air from the nearby pond or lake area sometimes makes the mornings feel a bit fresher. We don’t have any fancy signage or glowing lights out front. It’s just a simple door with our name on it. Most of the day is spent handling local issues and talking to folks from the community who stop by. We have a couple of old wooden chairs and a desk that has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. It's a practical space for practical work. Dahisar is quite far north, but for the people living around here, we are right in the middle of things. We like being accessible and part of the daily life of this street.
