Banyan Tree Foundation

We are located on the first floor of the Radha Building over on Javji Dadaji Marg. It’s right in the Grant Road area, which is always humming with energy and people moving about. Our space is at 4A, and it’s a modest little office. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. The Banyan Tree Foundation is something we’ve been working on for quite some time now. Grant Road has that old Mumbai feel to it, and our building fits right into that. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes with all the boxes of supplies we keep, but we manage just fine. We do a lot of our work right here at these old wooden desks. The noise from the street downstairs never really stops, but it becomes like background music after a few days. We don’t have any polished speeches about what we do. It’s just daily tasks, meeting people who come in from the street, and trying to stay organized. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful. We usually keep the windows open to let some air in, even if it brings in the dust from the road. It’s just a regular office for regular people who want to do something useful. We like the neighborhood because everything you need is just a short walk away, and we are right in the middle.
