Babaai Care Foundation

Babaai Care Foundation is located in a place called Dabhad, which is in the Bhiwandi taluka. Our address is simply House Number 15 (B). Bhiwandi is known for being a hub of activity, but Dabhad has its own local feel. We aren't in a big industrial park or a modern office tower. We work out of a house. It makes the whole foundation feel more like a family project than a business. House Number 15 (B) is where we keep our records and meet to discuss what needs to be done. It’s a very humble setup. There is no lobby or security guard at the gate. You just walk up to the house. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals in the taluka. Since we are right in the middle of the residential area, we see what’s happening every day. The rooms are filled with basic furniture and we do our own cleaning and maintenance. We didn't want a fancy office because it wouldn't fit who we are. Working from Dabhad allows us to stay connected to the ground. It can be quiet some days and very loud on others, especially when there is a local festival or a lot of traffic nearby. We just keep our heads down and do our work. It is a simple life and a simple way to run the Babaai Care Foundation. We usually sit out on the porch when the weather is nice.
