Avanshali Foundation

Down in Powai, in the Hiranandani Gardens area, is where you’ll find us. We’re in the Odyssey - 1 building, flat 2501. It’s quite high up in the air. The neighborhood is very different from the rest of Mumbai, much more planned out with the wide roads and trees. Avanshali Foundation is basically a few rooms where we get things done. It’s a bit of a trek to get up to the 25th floor, but the air feels a little cleaner up here away from the street. We spend our hours mostly on laptops and talking on the phone. It’s not a loud office at all. We prefer to keep things calm and quiet while we work. Sometimes we go down to the nearby park for a quick break if the weather is nice. The work we do is just day-to-day management of our various projects. We don’t have a massive staff or anything like that. Just a few dedicated people who’ve been working together for a long time. We know each other's habits and quirks by now. The coffee machine in the corner breaks every other week, so we usually just give up and go out for tea. It’s a professional enough space but without that stiff suit-and-tie vibe. We just want to get our daily tasks finished. Powai is a good place to be based. It has everything we need close by. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a space for our work to happen. It works for us.
