Avanis Art

Avanis Art is located in the Prathamesh Pooja building, right on Shimpoli Road in Borivili West. We are up in unit 1302. It is a bit of a residential feel here, which we actually prefer for the work we do. Most days, it is just the sound of brushes or pens on paper. We have a lot of finished pieces leaned up against the furniture and even more supplies tucked into the corners. The light from the window is pretty good in the afternoons, which helps when we are looking at small details. We have stayed in Borivili because it is where we live and where we know people. It is not a huge commercial gallery or a shop with a big sign out front. It is more of a dedicated workspace where we can concentrate. We spend quite a bit of time talking to people about what they want, often over a cup of coffee. Things can get a little messy when we have a big project going on, with scraps and sketches everywhere. We do not really mind the clutter as long as the work is moving along. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure everything is handled carefully. It is a straightforward way of working. We open up in the morning, check our messages, and get started on whatever is on the easel or the desk for the day.
