Aurelia Artifacts

Our place is Bungalow No 39 in Mysore Colony, which is right opposite R C F Gate No 2 in Chembur. It’s a bit different because we are in a bungalow rather than a standard shop front. Aurelia Artifacts is where we keep all the decorative pieces and items we’ve collected. It’s a quieter part of Chembur compared to the main market, but being near the R C F gate means people still know where we are. The house is full of various artifacts, some big and some small. We spend a lot of time dusting and moving things around to make space for new arrivals. It’s not a corporate showroom. It feels more like walking into someone’s home that just happens to be full of interesting things. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the stories behind the pieces. Chembur has a nice feel to it, and Mysore Colony is a pleasant area to work in. We like the pace here. It’s a bit slower, which suits the kind of things we have. People usually come in to browse and take their time looking at everything. We don't push anyone to buy. If they like something, they take it. That is how we’ve always done things. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it works for us. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay.
