Aseema Foundation

You can find Aseema Foundation over at Josephine Apartments on Chimbai Road in Bandra West. We are in unit G-4, which is on the ground floor, so it is pretty easy to step inside right off the street. Chimbai is one of those old Mumbai neighborhoods that has a lot of character, with narrow lanes and a lot of people moving around all day. Being in Bandra means there is always something happening right outside our windows, whether it is the local vendors or just people heading down toward the sea. Our office is quite compact, as space in Mumbai is always at a premium, but we make it work. We have desks squeezed in and shelves filled with all the stuff we have collected over the years. It is a bit cluttered sometimes, but we know where everything is located. The building itself, Josephine Apartments, is an older structure that has seen better days, but it has a solid feel to it. We drink a lot of coffee during the day to stay sharp. People often walk past and peek in through the door because we are right there at ground level. We do not have any big posters or marketing displays; we just have our name on a small plate by the entrance. It is a busy, slightly messy, but very honest place to spend our working hours in this part of the city.
