Arudhih Foundation

We are based in Malad West, specifically at A.24 in the Abdul Razzak CHS, over in the Motiram Compound area of Orlem. If you know Malad, you know how busy it can get around here. Our building is a bit older, and the compound is always full of motorcycles and delivery vans. It’s a lively place to be. Arudhih Foundation is run by a small group of us who live nearby. We use one of the rooms in the society as our main hub. It’s got some old wooden cupboards and a desk that’s been around longer than I have. The walls have some marks on them where we’ve pinned up maps and calendars. We don’t have a fancy website or a PR team. Most of our work is done right here on the ground, talking to people in the compound. The tea stall right outside the gate is where we do half our thinking. It’s a very local operation. We don’t try to sound like a big corporation because we aren't one. We are just neighbors trying to make things a little better for the folks around Orlem. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear on the phone, but that’s just part of living in Malad. We like being accessible. You don't need an appointment to talk to us; if the door is open, just come on in.
