Arts Decora

Our office for Arts Decora is number 603 in the Kush Apartment building, located in Andheri West. We are quite close to Flora Fountain and just a short walk from the Court Yard Restaurant. Being up on the sixth floor gives us a bit of a break from the direct noise of the street, though Andheri is never truly quiet. The office is where we keep all our samples, fabric swatches, and design books. It often looks a bit messy because we have things spread out over the tables while we’re working on new ideas. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby; you just come straight into the workspace. Most of our day is spent looking at sketches or talking to vendors on the phone. Kush Apartment is a residential-cum-commercial building, so it has a very lived-in feel to it. We know the security guards and the other people who work on our floor quite well. Sometimes the elevator takes a while, so we just wait and chat with whoever else is standing there. It’s a practical environment where we focus on the details of the decor projects we have going on. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office; we just need a place to think and organize our materials. The light in the afternoon is good for looking at colors, which is a nice bonus. It’s just our little corner of Andheri where we get things done every day.
