Artequest Gallery

This is Artequest Gallery. We are located at 11, Niwara, in the 1st Lane of Pandurang, Goregaon East. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, not right on the main road. I’ve been running things here for a while. The gallery is in a residential-style building called Niwara. It gives the whole place a very quiet and personal feeling. We have art pieces hanging on the walls and some sculptures here and there. It isn't a massive museum-type space, just a local gallery where we show different works. I spend a lot of time arranging the pieces and making sure the lighting is okay. Goregaon East has its busy parts, but our lane is usually quite calm. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic like a mall would. People who come here usually know about us or are specifically looking for art. I often sit near the entrance with my ledger. The walls are plain white to let the art stand out. It’s a simple life, looking at art and talking to the occasional visitor. Sometimes we get new stuff in and I have to move everything around to make it fit. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We don't do big fancy openings with wine and cheese. We just open the doors and let people look around. That's how we like it here at Niwara. It keeps things calm and focused on the art.
