Art_E_Facts

Our shop, which we call Art_E_Facts, is situated in Anand Bazar on J. Dossa Road in Mulund. We are over at Shop M. It is a slightly tucked-away spot, but it suits the kind of work we do. We keep a variety of interesting items on the shelves, things that people might call artifacts or just nice pieces for their homes. Since the shop is quite small, we have to be careful about where everything is placed so nothing gets bumped. The space has a very crowded feel, with items tucked into every available corner. We don't use any fancy spotlights or expensive glass displays like the big galleries do. Regular overhead lights are enough for us. Most of our days are spent dusting the items and rearranging them to make a little more room for new arrivals. Sometimes we come across pieces that are a bit worn or chipped, but we think those imperfections give them more character. A small radio usually plays a local station in the background to fill the silence when there are no customers around. The shelves are made of simple plywood that we installed ourselves years ago. It might not be the most beautiful store in Mulund, but it is our place. We often sit on a stool by the door and chat with other shopkeepers from Anand Bazar about how their week is going.
