Our office is located at No. 205 in the Prabhadevi Industrial Estate. It is one of those older industrial buildings you see all over Prabhadevi, but it works fine for what we need. Most of our mornings start with the struggle to find a decent parking spot nearby, which is almost impossible after nine o'clock. The estate has a very specific atmosphere, full of the sounds of machinery and the smell of industrial work. We are situated on the second floor of the block. On the days when the lift is acting slow or being used for heavy goods, we just take the stairs to get up there. It is a busy neighborhood with tons of small businesses crammed into every available corner. You start to recognize the same faces at the main gate every single day. We spend most of our time inside our unit just handling the daily workload and paperwork. It can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we keep the fans running to stay comfortable. There is a small tea stall just outside where we usually grab a quick snack or some biscuits. The noise from the other workshops in the estate is just constant background noise for us now. We don't even notice it anymore while we are working. We just keep our heads down, finish the orders, and stay late if we really have to. It is a practical location for the work.
