One Step Furniture

One Step Furniture is tucked away at 318/2540, Chuna Gali. We are right on the Main Link Road, behind that Picasso Restaurant in Goregaon East. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the restaurant, we aren't far. The shop is usually full of wood, fabric, and half-finished chairs or tables. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s more of a workshop where you can see the mess and the work happening at the same time. Some days it’s really hot, and we have the fans blowing full blast while we work. We’ve been in Goregaon East for a long time. The neighborhood is always changing, but Chuna Gali stays pretty much the same. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just build stuff and fix things for people. Sometimes we’re late on a project because a part didn’t arrive, but we always finish it. It’s a small team of us here. We know each other well and we just get on with the tasks. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the back of the restaurant. We’re usually around until the sun goes down. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof a bit, but we’ve got buckets for that, so it is not a big deal.
