Aakash Sagars Khana Khazana

Our place, Aakash Sagars Khana Khazana, is located at 25 Ramwadi Gyan Building on Kalbadevi Road. It is a busy area of Mumbai, right opposite the ICICI Bank. If you know Kalbadevi, you know it is always crowded and there is always something happening on the street. We have got a small space here where we serve food to the local traders and shoppers who are constantly moving through the neighborhood. It is not a place where you would expect a quiet, candlelit dinner. It is more about the hustle and getting a good meal in between errands. We keep the kitchen going from early on, and the smell of the cooking usually drifts out onto the sidewalk. The building itself is an older one, which gives it a bit of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint every now and then. We do not have a team of marketing people; it is just us and the staff making sure the plates are full. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the end of the day because it was busier than we expected. That is just how it goes in Mumbai. People recognize our sign and pop in because they have been coming here for years. It is a simple, straightforward operation in a very busy part of the city. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is noisy and fast, but we like the energy of the street.
