5 Spice Restaurant

We have been running 5 Spice Restaurant at Kailash Apartment on Belasis Road for a good number of years now. It’s a busy part of Mumbai Central, especially being right across from the S T Bus Depot. You can always hear the horns and the people moving about outside our doors. Most days, we see people coming in after they finish their shopping at the Orchid City Centre Mall which is just a short walk away. It gets quite crowded in this neighborhood during the evenings. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the food ready for whoever walks in. The kitchen stays hot and we are usually rushing to keep up with the orders. It isn’t a fancy setup but it works for us and the people who live in Nagpada or are just passing through the station. Sometimes the traffic on Belasis Road gets so bad that even our delivery guys struggle to get out on time, but that is just how life is in Mumbai. We know most of our regulars by their faces even if we don’t always remember every name. It’s just a normal restaurant trying to feed the local crowd. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that because the food is what matters at the end of the shift. If you are ever near the mall or the depot, you’ll likely see our sign hanging there.
