Abhudya Band Sabhagruh

We have this hall over in Kalachowki, near Darukhana. It's an old building, but it serves its purpose for the people around here in 400033. People mostly use it for weddings or local meetings. It's a big space, though the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. We keep the floor swept and the lights working. There's a small stage area at one end. It’s nothing like those big fancy hotels you see in other parts of Mumbai. It’s just a local spot. Usually, families from the neighborhood come to book it for their functions. We have some chairs and basic stuff you can use. Finding the place is easy enough if you know the Darukhana area. It gets quite noisy when there’s a band playing, which is why we have the name. We've seen a lot of events happen here over the years. Some days it's empty and quiet, and other days it's packed with people. We manage the bookings from a small desk near the entrance. It's a straightforward business. We don't promise anything extra, just the space as it is. It stays busy during the wedding season, so we’re usually running around then. It's just a part of the community here. There isn’t much more to it than that. We just open the doors and let people celebrate. It has been that way for as long as I remember.
