Anuprani Foundation

You can find us at 401 Rajya Sarthi CHSL, which is part of the Royal Complex on Eksar Road. It’s in Borivali West, so it’s a pretty active and crowded part of Mumbai to be in. We’ve been running the Anuprani Foundation from this fourth-floor office for a while. It’s just a standard apartment that we turned into an office space, so it's nothing too special to look at. We do all our work here, mostly focusing on whatever needs fixing in the community on that particular day. There’s always a lot of traffic on Eksar Road, so it can be a bit loud with the windows open, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of horns over the years. We aren't some big NGO with millions in the bank or a fancy board. We’re just local folks who wanted to do something productive with our time and energy. Some mornings are slow, and others are so busy we forget to even stop for lunch. We try to keep things simple and honest in everything we do. If someone needs help, they come up to the fourth floor and we talk it out face to face. There’s no complicated process or fancy software we use to track people. Just a lot of old notebooks and a few computers that have seen better days. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in the office at once, but we get through the tasks eventually. Being in Borivali means we’re close to the people we’re trying to help, which is the whole point really. We just keep plugging away.
