Anamcara Care Foundation

Anamcara Care Foundation is located at 5/36 in the Muktidham Society. We are right on L Raheja Hospital Road in Mahim West. Being so close to the hospital means we see a lot of people who are going through some tough times. The name Anamcara is an old word for a soul friend, and that’s what we try to be for folks around here. We aren't doctors or nurses, just people who want to offer a bit of care and support. Our office in the society is small and pretty simple. There’s usually a pot of tea on and some newspapers lying around. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who take turns being there. People often drop in because they’re stressed or just need someone to talk to while they’re waiting for news from the hospital. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or any corporate slogans. We just think it’s important to be kind to each other. Mahim is a busy place, and it’s easy to feel lost in the crowd. We hope our little spot in Muktidham Society makes things a bit easier for the people who find us. We’ve been here for a bit now and have become a part of the daily life on this road. It’s humble work, but we find it meaningful. We just take things one day at a time, helping whoever comes through the door.
