Ammampuram Foundation

Down at number 8 Pedder Road is where we spend our days. Our office is in the Sunbeam building, specifically 3A. Being in Mumbai City, especially around the 400026 area, means there is always a lot of energy outside. Ammampuram Foundation has been in this spot for a while. Pedder Road is always packed with cars, and the sound of traffic is basically the background music for our work. The Sunbeam building is an older one, but it has a lot of character. We don't have a giant suite with marble floors. It’s just a functional office space where we can sit down and focus. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who come through the city. Sometimes the rain in Mumbai makes getting to Pedder Road a bit of a nightmare, but we still show up and get to it. We don't have a PR team or anyone to polish our image. What you see is what you get. Just some folks working in an old Mumbai apartment building. We keep our coffee pot going and our desks messy with papers. It’s an honest way to work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy address, even if Pedder Road sounds like one. For us, it’s just where the office is and where the work happens every single day. We handle our tasks one by one and try to stay ahead of the city's pace. It is a bit cramped but we manage fine.
