Ami Art

Ami Art is our little shop located at F 95 in Manish Market. We’re over in Dadar West, specifically in Dashmesh Nagar, right across from the Dadar Railway Station. Because we’re so close to the station, there’s a constant stream of people passing by from morning until night. It’s a very lively place to be. Inside the shop, we have all sorts of items tucked away on shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when new stock arrives and we have to find a place for everything. We’ve been here in Manish Market for a long time and know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It’s like a little community of its own. We don't have a fancy website or a lot of bells and whistles. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for customers to come in. Sometimes the trains outside are so loud you have to pause your conversation for a second. We do a bit of everything related to the art supplies and items we carry. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and arranging displays. We don't mind it, though. It keeps us busy. If you’re ever coming off the train at Dadar, you can’t miss the market. We’re just one of the many stalls trying to provide something useful to the folks around here. It’s a modest way to make a living and we are happy here doing our thing.
