It’s a bit hot today here at Amee Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd. We are located in the Samudra Seema Building, which is right across from the LIC colony in Bandra West. If you’ve been around Nani Sodagars Pole, you know how the traffic can get in the afternoons. Our office is in 301/302. It isn't a very fancy place, just where we do our work every day. We’ve been here for a while now, dealing with all kinds of rubber parts and orders. Some days are busier than others, especially when the monsoon hits and the streets outside start to flood. Most of us just bring lunch from home and eat together in the small break area. Sometimes we hear the noise from the street below, but we’re used to it by now. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and there are stacks of files everywhere. It’s just a normal workplace. We spend most of our time answering the phone or checking the inventory in the back. The building itself has that old Mumbai charm, though the lift is a bit slow sometimes. We usually take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. It's just how things go here. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and usually wrap up as the evening rush begins. It’s nothing special, just a group of people making a living in Bandra.
