Akshar Dhara Foundation

We are located in Malad West, right on the Link Road in Mumbai. Specifically, we are in rooms 805 and 806 of the Palm Project 'C' Cooperative Housing Society. It’s a typical Mumbai residential building that houses some small offices like ours. The Akshar Dhara Foundation has been running from this spot for a bit. Because we are in a housing society, we have to follow the local rules and be mindful of our neighbors. The office space itself is quite compact, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need to function. There’s always the sound of traffic from Link Road down below, which is just part of life in Malad. We don't have any shiny plaques or expensive art on the walls. It’s a working space through and through. Most of us take the local train or a rickshaw to get here every morning. We start the day by catching up on emails and checking our to-do lists. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just work at our own pace and make sure we don't miss any deadlines. Sometimes we share a meal together in the afternoon when things quiet down. We are just a small group of people doing our thing in a busy part of the city. It’s nothing fancy, but it works for what we need to accomplish every day. The monsoon season makes the windows rattle, but we are used to it.
