Akanksha Art Shop

You can find Akanksha Art Shop at 8 B, Poonam Apartments. We are part of the Shiv Sagar Estate on Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli. Being right opposite Atria Mall makes it easy for people to spot us. The shop is usually a bit of a mess because of all the art supplies. There are stacks of paper, tubes of paint, and brushes everywhere. Mumbai is a busy place, and Worli is no exception. The traffic outside is constant. Inside, it smells like graphite and oil paint. I spend a lot of time helping people find the right shade of blue or a specific type of canvas. We don't have a fancy layout. Things are just tucked into corners where they fit. Students from the nearby areas come in a lot. The lighting isn't the best, but we manage. I have been here for a while and I know where every single pencil is hidden. The glass door always has fingerprints on it from people looking at the displays. It is a small shop, but it has a lot of character. We don't use a computer for everything; I still like writing things down. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the noise of the city. We just keep the shelves full and wait for the next person to walk in. Sometimes the rains make the shop a bit damp.
