Afroz Shah Foundation

We are based in Versova, right near Ganga Bhavan. Our office is in Everest Apartment, B-1010, on J.P. Road. It’s a lively part of Andheri West with people moving around at all hours. We spend a lot of time near the water, but the office is where we do all the planning and paperwork. It’s a tenth-floor apartment that we’ve turned into a workspace. It’s often a bit messy with boots and bags near the door because we’re always coming back from somewhere. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just some desks, a lot of chairs, and a small kitchen where we make coffee. The building has been there for a long time, and everyone knows us at 400061. We aren't interested in being fancy or having a sleek image. We just want to get things done. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and it gets a bit chaotic. Other days it’s just a few of us typing quietly. It feels like a real home for the work we do. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. It’s a simple way of working that suits us just fine. We just keep at it every single day.
