Aesthesis Foundation For Visually Impaired

We are down in Parel, located at the Kardar Garage Compound. It’s one of those old-school spots on Dr. S.S. Road that’s been around forever. Our office is on the ground floor, which is really important because it makes it much easier for people to get in and out without dealing with stairs. The Mangaldas Verma Estate has a lot of history, and we’re just one small part of it these days. Being in Parel means there’s always a lot of noise from the street and the nearby garages, but it gives our workspace a lot of character. We spend most of our days focused on helping folks who have trouble with their vision. It’s mostly practical, hands-on stuff. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just making things a bit easier for the people who walk through our door each morning. The compound is a little bit tucked away from the main road, but once you find us, it’s a very friendly and welcoming place. We have some basic tools and a few old desks. Nothing here looks like a shiny new corporate office, but it works perfectly for what we need to do. People come to see us from all over Mumbai because Parel is so central. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who really care about the work. We spend a lot of time just talking to people and figuring out what helps them the most. It’s a very grounded way to spend our time.
