Advika Unnati Foundation

Advika Unnati Foundation is over in the Mulund area of Mumbai. We are in the Ecstasy Commercial Complex, room 607A. It’s right near Citi of Joy and Nimrals. The building is quite modern compared to some other places, but inside our office, it’s pretty basic. We have a few chairs and a lot of paperwork. Being in a commercial complex means we are surrounded by all sorts of businesses, from travel agents to accountants. We like the energy of the place. It keeps us moving. Our focus is on "Unnati," which just means progress. We try to help people move forward in their lives, whether it's through finding work or getting some kind of training. We aren't corporate people. We wear regular clothes and talk like normal neighbors. If you come by, you’ll probably find us arguing about where to order lunch or looking over some project plans. Mumbai City is huge, and it’s easy for people to get lost in the shuffle. We try to be a place where they don't feel lost. We don't have a big grand vision, just a daily goal to help at least one person who walks through that door at 607A. It’s a lot of work, and the traffic near the complex can be a nightmare, but we show up every day anyway. It’s just what we do.
