Aditya Foundation For Human Development

Our office for the Aditya Foundation For Human Development is way up on the 32nd floor of Estonia-B. It’s part of the Hiranandani Heritage complex right near the Poisar Bridge in Kandivali East. Being that high up means we get a pretty good view of the traffic on S.V. Road, though we don't spend much time looking out the windows. The building is quite nice, but inside our unit, it’s just a normal workplace with desks and chairs. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, so things can look a bit cluttered at times. Getting up here takes a minute because the elevators are usually busy with all the people living and working in the tower. We started this because we wanted to do something useful for people in Mumbai. It’s a lot of work and sometimes we stay late just to get through the daily tasks. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth or just because they live in the area. It’s a bit of a trek for some folks to come all the way here, but we try to make it worth their while. The staff is just a small group of regular people. We share snacks in the afternoon and try to keep things friendly for whoever stops by. It is just a practical space where we handle our daily business.
