Aashansa Foundation

We are located over in Garden Estate, specifically Wing B in Goregaon West. Most people know the Laxmi Industrial Estate area nearby, it’s always busy around here. Aashansa Foundation is just a small group of us trying to do some good from this office. It’s flat 1403. It isn't a huge fancy place, just a regular space where we get together to figure out what needs doing. Some days are quiet, others we have people coming in and out all afternoon. Living and working in Mumbai means things are always moving fast, but we try to keep it simple. We’ve been here for a bit now. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, which is a pain when you're in a hurry. Our desks are usually piled with papers and some tea cups from the morning. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us. We spend a lot of time talking to folks in the local area. Goregaon is a nice spot because you’ve got everything close by, even if the traffic on Link Road can be a nightmare during rush hour. We just show up every morning and get to work. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we manage. If you’re ever around Laxmi Industrial Estate, you’re basically a stone’s throw from where we sit and plan things out. We just want to help where we can without making a big fuss about it. We’ve got some old chairs and a big table where we sit. It’s nothing special, but it’s where everything happens for us.
