Aanandam India Initiatives Foundation

Aanandam India Initiatives Foundation is located in Kandivali West. We are in the Jay Sukh Sagar building on Mahatma Gandhi Road, specifically in flat B-24. MG Road is always noisy and full of people, which we actually like because it feels alive. We have been operating out of this small space for quite a while now. Our work is pretty varied and we do not just stick to one thing. If there is a problem in the area or someone needs help with a small project, we try to get involved. It is just a few of us. We are not a big corporation. We drink a lot of tea and spend hours talking about how to get things done with the little resources we have. Sometimes we help with local cleanups, and other times we assist elderly neighbors with their daily chores. It is not a glamorous life. Our office is just a regular room with some old desks and a computer that takes forever to start up. But we like it here. People drop by without an appointment just to say hello or ask for a small favor. That is the kind of place we want to be. We do not need fancy mission statements or big goals. We just want to be useful to the people living around Kandivali West. It is about making the day a bit better for someone else.
