Aadivasi Welfare Foundation

Aadivasi Welfare Foundation is located in the Mulund West area of Mumbai. We are specifically over on Darga Road, inside Building E-5. If you are looking for us, we are at Shop No 9 in the Nahur Village section, 400082. Being in a shop unit means we are right at street level, so we see a lot of people passing by throughout the day. Mulund is a busy place, and Nahur Village has its own local feel that’s a bit different from the high-rise parts of Mumbai. The shop isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need to keep the foundation running. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic on Darga Road, but you get used to it after a while. We don't have a lot of fancy signage, just the basic name Aadivasi Welfare Foundation so people can find the door. The space inside is mostly taken up by desks and filing cabinets. We try to keep the front area tidy for when people drop by, but it’s a working office so there are always papers around. Mumbai weather is usually humid, so we keep the door open sometimes to get a breeze, even with the dust from the road. It’s a humble little spot, but it’s our home base and it serves the purpose. Most of the shopkeepers on our row know us by now and we say hello in the mornings.
