Aadinaath Arts

Our shop is located at Sunanda Villa in the Rachana Industrial Estate in Malad West. It is Shop No 2, and you can usually hear us working before you see us. We are surrounded by other workshops and small factories, so there is always the sound of machines or hammering nearby. We do a lot of different things here that fall under the label of art. Some days we are making frames for pictures, and other days we might be painting a sign or helping someone figure out a design for their small project. It is not a clean, quiet gallery like you see in the magazines. It is a working shop with sawdust on the floor and paint splatters on the tables. We moved into this area because we needed the space for our tools and benches. It is a bit tucked away, but people who need our help always manage to find the way. We don't put on any airs or act like we are better than we are. If you want something made, we sit down, talk about it, and then we get to work. Sometimes we get a bit behind when a tool breaks or we can't find the right kind of wood, but we always finish the job. We have been part of this Malad community for a while and we just like making things with our hands and seeing them being used by the local people.
