A Ds Art Gallery

You can find us at Shop No 4 in the Citizen Building. We’re in Andheri West, right on August Kranti Maidan Road. If you know the High Point Restaurant, we are just next door to it. The gallery isn't huge, but we fill it with as much as we can. We spend a lot of time framing things and moving pieces around to make room for new stuff. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the canvases leaning against the walls. We get a lot of foot traffic because of the restaurant next door. People often wander in while they’re waiting for a table. It’s a relaxed space; we don’t have those quiet, intimidating gallery vibes. There’s usually some dust from the wood frames and the smell of paint. We’re just a small shop where we appreciate good work. Sometimes we help people pick out a frame that doesn't clash with their walls. It’s a local spot where neighbors stop by to chat. We’ve been in Andheri for a while and like the energy of this street. The lighting isn't always perfect, but we do our best to show the art clearly. It’s just us here, hanging pictures and cleaning the glass. We don't do big fancy openings, just keep the door open for whoever wants to look. It’s a practical way to run an art space. We have some old wooden crates out back where we keep the packing materials for when a piece is sold. It's just part of the shop.
