Government Women'S (Degree) College

We are located in Puruna Baripada in Mayurbhanj. It is an old building where girls from around here come for their degree classes. Most days start early when the gates open and students walk in through the main entrance. We have several classrooms and the desks have seen many years of use. It gets quite busy during exam time and you can see everyone carrying their books and notes around the hallways. The teachers here have their own rooms where they sit when they are not taking a class. There is a lot of green around the campus which makes it a bit cooler in the summer months. Sometimes the power goes out but we just carry on with the lessons anyway. People know us in this part of Mayurbhanj because many families have sent their daughters here over the years. We don't have fancy stuff but we have the basic things needed for studying. In the afternoons after the last bell rings you see the students heading back home or waiting for their buses. It is a simple place where the focus is just on getting through the syllabus and passing the papers. Life here is steady and follows the same rhythm every year with new faces coming in and old ones leaving after their three years are up. It is just a regular part of the town where education happens day in and day out without much fuss or noise.
