About Dhanghera (Junior) College – Education in Mayurbhanj
We are situated out in Dhanghera, which is part of the Mayurbhanj district. It’s a junior college, so we mostly see students who are finishing up their higher secondary years. Being in a place like this means things are a bit slower and more quiet than the big cities, which we actually quite like. The college building sits on a decent bit of land, and we try to keep the classrooms decent for the kids who come here every day. It's a local spot, and most of the staff lives nearby too. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just the basic stuff needed for teaching. You won't find any high-tech gadgets or fancy lounges here. We just have desks, boards, and a lot of books. The students often hang out in the courtyards when they aren't in class. Mayurbhanj has its own rhythm, and we just follow along with that. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the roads get a bit rough during the monsoon, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s an honest way to spend the day, helping the local youth get through their exams so they can move on to whatever is next for them. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time now, and the community seems to appreciate having a place close by for their children to study. We just keep things moving forward one day at a time without any fuss or unnecessary noise.
