Saheed Memorial (Degree) College

Saheed Memorial (Degree) College is located in Manada, which is in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The 757033 area is quite beautiful, with a lot of natural scenery around us, but it can also feel a bit isolated from the bigger cities. The college itself is a simple structure where local students come to continue their education after school. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for when the classes are in session and the hallways are full of chatter. We have several classrooms and a small library that holds the books the students need. The office is usually a bit messy with files and ledgers, as we do all our administration by hand. Being in Mayurbhanj means we are used to a slower pace of life, and that reflects in how the college is run. We don’t have a big marketing department or polished brochures. People find out about us through word of mouth or by just living in the neighborhood. The weather can be quite humid, so we keep the windows open to let the breeze in. Most of the staff members have been here for years and know the families of the students quite well. It’s just a local degree college trying to provide a place for people to learn without having to travel too far from home. We take things one semester at a time and keep the place going. It’s a humble setup, but it works for everyone involved and keeps us all busy.
