About Suraj Marble Udhyog – Building & Construction Material in Makrana
Our place is over at Plot No E-174 in the RIICO Industrial Area in Bidiyad. If you’ve ever been to Bidiyad, you know it is all about the marble. Everything here is covered in that fine white powder from the cutting machines. We have been working out of this plot for quite some years. It’s a straightforward operation where we get the blocks in and try to get the best slabs out of them. We don't really go for anything flashy, just the basic work of managing the marble stock. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, making the white stone almost too bright to look at without squinting. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad to move the heavy stuff. My guys have been with me a long time, so they know which slabs are good and which ones have flaws that we need to point out. We don’t use any big sales pitches here. People come in, look at what we have on the racks, and we tell them the price. It’s a busy spot in the industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise from the nearby factories. We just keep our heads down and focus on the loading and unloading. It’s hard on the back, but seeing a clean stack of marble ready to go makes it feel alright. There is always another truck to load at E-174.
