Ravi Marble Mines

Ravi Marble Mines is based out of Manglama Road. We are set up c/o Rajesh Karva and we’re right near Maheshwari Automobiles. If you see a lot of trucks and big pieces of stone, you’ve probably found the right spot. Working with marble is a dusty business and there is no point trying to stay clean while we are at the site. We spend our days checking the quality of the stone coming out of the mines and talking to the people doing the cutting. The noise from the machines can be quite loud but we are used to it by now. Mr. Karva’s place is where we keep the records and handle the visitors who come to see the stock. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s more of a working yard where things are constantly moving around. We have samples of different marbles leaning against the walls and there is always someone around with a measuring tape in their hand. The sun gets pretty hot out on Manglama Road during the summer months. We usually take a long break in the middle of the day when the heat is at its worst. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to supply decent stone to the people who need it for their houses or buildings. It is basic work and we have been doing it this way for quite a long time now. We enjoy the simple routine of the mining work out here every day without any big fuss.
