Mannat Marbles

Mannat Marbles is located in the Deshwali Colony in the Makrana district of Nagour. If you know anything about this part of the country, you know it’s famous for the stone. We are right in the heart of it. The air here always has a bit of white dust in it because of all the marble work going on around us. Our shop is just one of many, but we have our own way of doing things. We spend our days surrounded by slabs of white and grey stone. Deshwali Colony is where we set up, and it’s a busy place with a lot of movement. Nagour can be very dry and hot, so the marble feels cool to the touch when you walk through the aisles. We are just local people who have grown up around the quarries and the workshops. It’s a tough job lifting these pieces, and your hands get rough after a while. We don't use any fancy sales talk. People come in, they look at what we have, and we tell them about the different blocks. It’s a straightforward business in a town that revolves around the earth. We’ve been at this for a long time in Deshwali Colony. It’s just how life is here in Makrana. We show up, we move the stone, and we go home at the end of the day. There is no better place for someone who loves the look of a solid slab of rock.
