Sunita Marbles

Sunita Marbles is located at E-191 in the Riico Industrial Area over in Bidiyad. If you know this part of the country, you know it’s all about the stone. Our spot isn’t the biggest, but we keep it full of whatever we can get from the local mines. Most days I am just wearing my old boots and walking around the yard checking the edges of the slabs. The dust in Bidiyad is something else, it gets into everything, even the tea we drink in the afternoon. We’ve been at this location for a good while and the neighbors are all doing the same thing as us. It’s a community of stone workers. I don't like those fancy showrooms you see in the city; we just have our stuff laid out under the sky. Sometimes the rain comes and washes the dust off the marble, and that’s when it looks the best. We handle a lot of granite too, whatever people are asking for that month. I usually spend my afternoons writing down orders in a messy ledger and calling the transport guys to see when they can pick up a load. There is always a lot of shouting over the sound of the saws, but you get used to it after a while. It’s a hard life but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and keep the slabs moving until the day is finally done.
