About Sisodia Son Marbles – Building & Construction Material in Makrana
Over on the Palara Road Bypass in the Nagaur district, our marble yard is pretty easy to spot. We are right near the Babulal Mail Borewell, which is how most people find us if they get lost. The ground is always white with stone dust, and the air is filled with the sound of saws cutting through big blocks of rock. It’s a dry, dusty environment, and we all wear scarves or masks to keep the grit out of our lungs. We have rows of marble slabs leaning against each other, showing off the different patterns that come out of the earth. It’s heavy, dangerous work moving these pieces around, so we have to be careful every single minute. The sun in Nagaur can be brutal, beating down on the open yard, but we just keep going. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning. Instead, we show people the stone right where it’s cut, under the open sky. Sometimes customers come from far away, and we spend time walking them through the stacks to find exactly what they need. There’s no pressure, just looking at what nature provided. The machines need a lot of water to keep the blades cool, so there’s always a bit of a muddy mess in certain corners of the yard. It’s an honest way to make a living, working with stone that’s been around forever. We just stay busy with the cutting and the lifting until the day ends and we can go home.
