Shalash Marbles

We are based in the village of Borawar, right near the main road in the Makrana taluka. It’s a good location for us because we are close to where we live and we know everyone in the area. Our setup is quite basic, as we don't see the need for a fancy building or expensive furniture. We spend all our time out in the yard anyway. We handle everything from the initial blocks coming in to the final loading of the slabs. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we are used to it. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a big sales pitch. We just show people what we have in the stacks and let them decide for themselves. The yard can get a bit dusty and loud when the saws are running, but that’s just how a marble business looks. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’ve learned that being honest with people is the best way to run things. If we don't have what someone is looking for, we tell them where they might find it. We aren't trying to compete with the huge companies; we just want to do a good job for the people who come to us. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just focused on the stone and the daily tasks. We are just regular folks working hard in Nagaur district.
