Our warehouse is at E-118 in the Riico Industrial Area of Bidiyad. If you’ve ever been to Bidiyad, you know it’s a place where stone is the main thing everyone talks about. Our spot is a regular industrial plot, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just rows and rows of marble waiting to be shipped out. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the logistics of moving these heavy loads. It isn’t easy work, and it definitely isn't clean. Your hands get rough and your boots are always gray from the stone powder. We have a few guys who have been with us for a long time, and they know exactly how to guide the trucks into the loading bay. We don't have any big sales pitches. People come to us when they need material for a house or a building, and we just show them what we’ve got on the ground at that moment. The weather can be a bit of a challenge, especially when it’s pouring rain or the heat is bouncing off the stone, but we stay busy. We take care of the paperwork in a little room off to the side, but the real work happens out in the yard. Being in the Riico area means we are surrounded by other businesses doing similar things, so there is always a sense of being part of a larger machine.
