Our place is right on the Bye Pass Road, just across from Jhalra Talab. You can't really miss Belim Marble Pvt. Ltd. if you are driving that way. We spend a lot of our time looking out at the water of the talab when things are quiet. The marble comes in on big trucks and we have to be careful how we unload it so nothing cracks. It is heavy stuff, and you have to respect it. We have some older machines that still work just fine for what we need. It gets loud when the saws are running, so we don't talk much during those hours. We just use hand signals to tell each other where to move the slabs. Being on the bypass is good because it’s easy for the transport guys to find us without getting stuck in the city center. We keep a few chairs outside in the shade for when people want to sit and look at the different patterns in the stone. Some pieces have more veins than others, and we just sort them by how they look. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it feels good at the end of the day to see a clean stack of marble ready to go out. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website that does much. We just stay here by the road and do our work.
