About Mukesh Jain Marble – Building & Construction Material in Makrana
If you walk down Partham Paryavaran Marg and look for number 408-D, that’s where we are. It is a fairly quiet stretch compared to the main highways, which we like. The marble blocks are sitting out in the open, and they get rained on or baked in the sun depending on the month. We spend a lot of time just looking over the slabs, checking for cracks or any weird spots in the stone. It’s heavy work, and you really have to be careful with your feet and fingers around here. My father used to say that marble has its own personality, and after working here for years, I think he was right. Every piece looks a little different once you get the dust off it. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with lights and air conditioning. It is mostly just the yard and a small desk where we keep the ledger. Customers usually find us by word of mouth or because they live in the neighborhood. We talk to them about their floors and how much stone they might need for a room. Sometimes we have to wait weeks for a specific shipment to arrive, and that can be frustrating for everyone. But that’s just how the stone business goes. We stay busy with the loading and unloading, making sure the slabs are handled gently so they don't snap. It’s a steady life and we keep things simple around here.
