Mohd. Shabaan Marble

We are located near Jhalra Talab on the Nagaur Bypass Road. It is a good spot because the bypass makes it easy for the heavy trucks to get in and out without getting stuck in the middle of town traffic. The view of the water at the Talab is a nice change from the dry stone we look at all day. At Mohd. Shabaan Marble, we keep things pretty basic. Our yard isn't huge, but we fill it up with as much stone as we can find. The Nagaur area is known for its quality, and we are glad to be part of that long tradition. Most of our day involves walking around with a measuring tape and a piece of chalk. We mark the slabs, talk to the masons, and figure out how to fit everything onto the trailers safely. It gets very hot out here on the road, so we have a little shade where we sit and drink tea between jobs. We have been here for a long time and we know the local people well. We don't do a lot of advertising or marketing. Most people find us because they saw our sign on the bypass or heard about us from a neighbor. It is a family-style operation. We treat the stone with care and we try to be fair with everyone who walks through the gate. That is just how we do things here near the pond. It is honest work for us every day.
